Literature: homework due 4/3
Girlies,
I love that you commented so much last week. It's neat hearing what you all think, and what you're hoping to do. :)
Guess what? You're to read *ALL* of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde this week! (Eep!) ...It's a much shorter book than I thought - only 100 pages - so we're shortening it to just one week...which may open us up for a party on the last day of class. (Aw - sniff. I'm gonna miss you girls this summer!!)
I do want you to still do a bio on Robert Louis Stevenson, but rather than doing it in paper form, you can do it in bullet form. Obviously, you are not allowed to copy and paste this information from websites. Research the author just as you would a normal bio.
Love you all and see ya next week!

Literature: homework due 3/27
Hey girlies,
For next week:
- finish Great Expectations
- do a character paper on a character of your choice; 5-paragraph essay; typed & double-spaced
Also, we'll be finishing the movie. Let's all bring snacks to share!
Coming up, we'll be starting The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hide on April 3rd. I will also then be returning your 3rd quarter grades. (If your parents need them sooner let me know.)
Let me know if you have any questions!

History HW
Hi lovely girls,
GREAT job on your projects this week! I was very impressed - especially with that singing Abby! :)
-Here's your HW for next week.
Reading:
-The Civil War 1850-1895 pg. 115-122
-Eyewitness to the Civil War pg. 246-283, 293-341, 351-377 (This looks like alot, but you don't have to read all the stuff on the sides, just read the main narrative. Of course you can read all the cool extra stuff if you want to!)
Memorizing the Gettysburg Address:
In the same teams as you had for your battle project....
Team 1: Ellie B, Kayla, Hannah
Team 2: Ellie W, Abby, Nicki
You will memorize the Gettysburg Address.
-You do not need to get together w/ your groups but should probably divide up the Adress in 3 parts. (email or call eachother)
-You will then present it in class. And I hope it will be with some nice dramatic reading :D You can even dress up if you want.
I think we should have a Civil War party. Come dressed up if you want, bring some food, and after our discussion we'll finish Gettysburg (hopefully finish it).
Loves!!
